Terms of Service
Last updated 5 November 2026. Operator: Renewproof (a MINIMALCULT project). Contact: [email protected].
1. What Renewproof is
Renewproof is software that connects to your Stripe account, identifies subscriptions you have with consumers in the United Kingdom, and sends notices and keeps records that the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 and its regulations describe. It also calculates refunds and, where you choose, issues them through Stripe.
2. Not legal advice
We are not a law firm and do not give legal advice. Our rule descriptions, defaults and templates reflect our reading of public legislation and government guidance at the date shown on each rule. You decide your contract terms, your reminder window, your notice wording and whether your product is a service or digital content. Responsibility for complying with the law remains with your business.
3. Your account and your customers
You must have authority to connect the Stripe account. You are the controller of your customers' personal data and we process it on your behalf under our Data Processing Agreement. You are responsible for the accuracy of the settings you give us, including your cancellation link and contact details.
4. Notices and records
We send notices within the window you set, using the data in your Stripe account. If we cannot send a notice on time, for example because required information is missing, we alert you and record why. We keep an evidence log of each notice for as long as your account is active and for the retention period set out in the DPA.
5. Refunds you issue through Renewproof
Refunds are issued from your Stripe balance only when you approve them, or automatically if you switch on automatic refunds. You remain responsible for the amounts refunded.
6. Fees
Fees are shown on our pricing page and are billed in US dollars through Stripe. Plans are priced by the number of UK subscribers we manage for you. See our refund policy.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service running and to update rules when the law or guidance changes. We may change these terms with 30 days' notice by email; continued use after that means you accept the change.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, regulatory fines or lost profits. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Ending the service
You can uninstall the app at any time. When you do, we stop sending notices and delete your customers' personal data as set out in the DPA. We may suspend accounts used unlawfully or in breach of these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions: [email protected].
